Dhaka, May 16 -- A joint eviction drive is currently being carried out at Suhrawardy Udyan in the capital, led by an executive magistrate from RAJUK and DSCC supported by officers from Shahbagh Police Station under the Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP).
The operation began around 11:30 am on Thursday, targeting illegal structures within the park.
DSCC Executive Magistrate Md Aminul Islam led the operation while acting Estate Manager of Dhaka University, Fatema Binte Mustafa, was present at the scene.
According to Shahbagh Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Khalid Monsur, all unauthorised establishments inside the park are being demolished.
