Dhaka, Sept. 18 -- A Dhaka court on Friday placed Evaly CEO Mohammad Rassel and his wife and Chairman of the e-commerce entity Shamima Nasrin on a three-day remand each in a case filed on charge of embezzling customers' money.

Judge of the Metropolitan Magistrate court of Dhaka, Atiqul Islam, passed the order after holding hearing on a remand petition filed by Wahidul Islam, Investigation Officer of the case and a Sub-Inspector of Gulshan Police Station.

Earlier on the day the investigation officer of the case produced Rassel and Shamima in the court around 2:00pm with a 10-day remand prayer.

The court also rejected a petition filed by the Rassel and Shamima seeking their bail and scrapping the remand prayer.
