Dhaka, March 2 -- Home Adviser Lt Gen Jahangir Alam Chowdhury (retd) said on Sunday that the prices of essential commodities are lower this year compared to the previous year.
"The price of commodities is comparatively lesser than the previous year. You [journalists] have to say it. It is better to keep the price of the goods lower without conducting any drive against the syndicate," he said.
He was speaking to journalists after inspecting the Public Order Management office at Mirpur on Sunday evening.
