Dhaka, Feb. 19 -- The Economic Relations Division (ERD) under the finance ministry has signed a grant agreement worth $366,500 (approximately Tk 439.80 lakh) with UNICEF, the United Nations Children's Fund, to support various initiatives.

The agreement titled "Enhancing Evaluation Capacity for Development (EEC4D)" which was signed yesterday will contribute to implement the three-year project of the Implementation Monitoring and Evaluation Division (IMED) under the Ministry of Planning.

The overall objective of the project is to enhance the evaluation capacity of the government agencies for institutionalising evidence-based, efficient and effective investment for sustainable development, reads an ERD press release issued Wednesday.
