Dhaka, Feb. 18 -- Engineer Md. Rafiqul Islam Choube joined the Bangladesh Water Development Board (BWDB) as Additional Director General (Western Region) on February 11, 2025. Prior to assuming this position, he served as Chief Engineer (Civil) Monitoring.

He obtained his BSc degree in Civil Engineering from the Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) in 1991. In 1993, he joined the Bangladesh Water Development Board as an Assistant Engineer (Civil).
