Dhaka, March 26 -- The Energy and Mineral Resources Division sent a letter to the Bangladesh Bank governor on Wednesday, requesting measures to ensure that banks in depot-related areas remain open during the Eid holidays.
Additionally, the Bangladesh Fuel Oil Distributors Association also sent a letter to the Bangladesh Bank, urging it to keep selected bank branches operational on 29 March, 3 April, and 5 April.
In its letter, the Energy Division emphasised that the supply of fuel oil is a critical priority. It requested that bank branches in depot-related areas remain open on March 30 and April 3 during the Eid-ul-Fitr holidays to assist fuel dealers in making purchases and ensure an uninterrupted supply for consumers.
