Dhaka, July 6 -- Opener Parvez Hossain Emon repaid the team management's faith on him by hitting a half-century in his only second ODI.

He struck a brilliant 69 ball-67 in Bangladesh second ODI against Sri Lanka at R Premadasa Stadium in Colombo on Saturday. Bangladesh were playing this match to level the three-match series following a 77-run defeat in the first match.

After cementing his place in the T20 format, Emon was given chance to show his ODI credential as he made debut in the first match against Sri Lanka.
