Dhaka, Nov. 1 -- Election Commissioner (EC) Anwarul Islam Sarkar has said, "The schedule for the national parliamentary election will be announced in the first week of December, and the election will be held in February before the holy month of Ramadan. We have already published the election work plan."

He made these remarks while speaking at a meeting with journalists at the Patuakhali Circuit House on Friday afternoon.

In response to journalists' questions, he further said, "The proportional representation (PR) system is entirely a political issue.

The Election Commission is waiting to see what political decision comes regarding it. As for the referendum-whether it will take place before or after the election-this matter has not yet ...
