Dhaka, April 4 -- After long fifteen years, the people of the country have been able to celebrate the holy Eid-ul-Fitr in a relaxed atmosphere, free from fascist rule. They are now enjoying the benefits of the victory achieved on August 5 last year in the student- people uprising.
Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus, the chief advisor to the interim government, addressed the nation after offering Eid prayers at the National Eidgah.
In his speech, he pledged to overcome all obstacles and form a new Bangladesh as a united nation. In fact, the relief felt by people during this Eid will go down in history as a milestone.
