Dhaka, Nov. 10 -- In Narayanganj, cesarean operations at the District Mother and Child Welfare Center had come to a halt after the medical diathermy machine broke down.
As a result, incoming patients faced severe difficulties and healthcare services were disrupted.
During a meeting of the Victoria Hospital Management Committee held on Wednesday at the Deputy Commissioner's conference room, Deputy Director Shahidul Islam highlighted the issue.
He stated that, alongside family planning services, the center provides care to around 400 pregnant women each month, conducts about 30 normal deliveries, and performs 4 to 5 cesarean sections.
