Dhaka, May 11 -- Bhangura (Pabna) Correspondent: Farmers have started harvesting early variety Boro paddy in the floodplains of Bhanguraupazila of Pabna. They planted this paddy to protect themselves from natural disasters or untimely floods.

Farmer HafizurRahman of Koyra village of Khanmarich union of the upazila said that since this area is located in the Chalanbil, early variety paddy is cultivated in the lands of the low-lying areas. As a result, there is an opportunity to harvest it early.

Upazila Agriculture Officer SharminJahan said that harvesting of early variety paddy has already started in the Chalanbil area. In addition, he hopes that there will be a bumper harvest of paddy this year due to the favorable weather.
