Dhaka, Sept. 18 -- Home Adviser Lieutenant General (Retd) Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury on Wednesday said this year's Durga Puja will be celebrated in a more joyous and peaceful atmosphere than in previous years.
"I assure you that this time Durga Puja will be observed in a more organized, festive, and serene manner compared to last year," he said after visiting Ramna Kali Mandir in the capital this afternoon.
The Home Adviser praised the Ramna Kali Mandir organizing committee for their well-prepared arrangements to host the celebrations.In response to questions from reporters, Jahangir said there is no risk of any untoward incident surrounding the festival.
