Dhaka, Jan. 28 -- The seven colleges of the capital will no longer be affiliated with the Dhaka University (DU) and no new admission test will be held under this affiliation with DU from 2024-25 academic sessions and the students of seven colleges have welcomed the decision taken by authorities of Dhaka University (DU) and the colleges to end the affiliation between them.

The decision has been taken at a meeting of principals of seven colleges with DU Vice Chancellor Dr Niaz Ahmed Khan held at Prof Abdul Matin Chowdhury Virtual Classroom adjacent to the Vice-Chancellor's office.
