Dhaka, Aug. 2 -- Separate seminars were held in various faculties and departments of Dhaka University (DU) on Thursday as part of a month-long seminar series on the occasion of the first anniversary of historic 'July Uprising'.
Speakers at the seminars pledged to work together to build a non-discriminatory society by remembering the debt of the July Uprising.
A seminar titled 'July Uprising 2024: Repetition of History and New Construction' was held at the Faculty of Arts. Pro-Vice Chancellor (Education) Professor Dr. Mamun Ahmed presided over the seminar while Pro-Vice Chancellor (Administration) Professor Dr Saima Haque Bidisha, Treasurer Professor Dr. M. Jahangir Alam Chowdhury and other teachers spoke on the occasion.
