Dhaka, March 18 -- Dhaka University (DU) has temporarily expelled 128 students in connection with violent incidents on campus during the anti-discrimination movement between July 15 and August 5.
The decision was made during a DU Syndicate meeting on Monday, based on the report from the fact-finding committee investigating the attacks that occurred during the July mass uprising.
The meeting was chaired by Vice-Chancellor Professor Niaz Ahmed Khan. Dhaka University Proctor and Syndicate member, Associate Professor Saifuddin Ahmed, confirmed the expulsions, which were based on the findings of the inquiry committee's report.
