Dhaka, Dec. 1 -- The military and police rescued the notorious drug lord Bunia Sohel (40) from a critical condition in the Geneva Camp area of Mohammadpur, Dhaka.
Following his rescue, Sohel was presented in custody. Two of his associates, Noyon (30) and Rabbik (28), were also arrested with two pistols and six rounds of ammunition.
On Sunday morning (November 30), an officer from the 46th Independent Brigade of the army confirmed the operation.
The officer explained that on Saturday evening (November 29), following information that Sohel was being beaten by rival local groups in Geneva Camp, three patrol teams from Sher-e-Bangla Army Camp rushed to the scene and rescued the seriously injured Sohel.
