Bangladesh, Feb. 3 -- Renowned agronomist Dr Muahammad Ataur Rahman has been appointed as the new Director General of Bangladesh Agriculture Research Institute (BARI).

He has been appointed as DG (Routine Work) according to ordinance imposed by the Ministry of Agriculture. Dr Muhammad Ataur Rahman joined as a scientific office at BARI in 1992.

He obtained PhD on Physiological basic of heat tolerance in wheat form Kyushu University of Japan in 2005.
