Dhaka, Dec. 7 -- A physician at Mymensingh Medical College (MMC) has been suspended after reportedly misbehaving with the Director General of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), Professor Dr. Md Abu Jafor, on Saturday afternoon.

Dr. Dhandeb Barman, who was overseeing the Casualty Department, has also been served a show-cause notice regarding his unruly conduct.A video of the confrontation quickly spread across social media, prompting widespread criticism from the public and within the health sector.

Earlier in the day, the DGHS chief had visited Mymensingh Medical College Hospital to attend a seminar on the recent developments and challenges in treating bladder and reproductive disorders in children.
