Dhaka, Nov. 7 -- A total of 125,000 illegal banners and festoons were removed by Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) across the city in the past month.
DNCC Administrator Mohammad Ejaz revealed this during a review meeting on the 'Banner and Festoon Removal Campaign' held at the city corporation headquarters on Thursday.Urging all not to dirty the city with banners and festoons, he said they removed nearly 1, 25, 000 banners and festoons in the last month, describing it a challenging work for them. During the meeting, officials presented detailed statistics from the campaign conducted across 52 wards in DNCC's 10 zones.
