Dhaka, May 8 -- Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) Administrator Mohammad Azaz said that Taka 100 crore has been allocated for the development of drainage system and road construction to reduce public sufferings in the newly added 18 wards.
He said this while inaugurating a newly constructed road at Dakkhinkhan in the capital on Wednesday.
Azaz said that in the initial phase, the roads have been made 30 feet wide. Later, those would be converted into 70 to 100 feet roads, he added, reports BSS.
He said that there are three rail crossings at the connection points with the Airport Road in the new 18 wards, and work on building three flyovers at these three rail crossings will be started in the next fiscal year. In the first phase of the...
