Dhaka, June 22 -- The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has imposed a ban on all forms of gatherings, rallies, processions, and demonstrations in and around the premises of the National Board of Revenue (NBR) and the Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA) offices.
This directive was announced in a public notice signed by DMP Commissioner Sheikh Sajjat Ali on Saturday.
According to the notice, the ban has been enforced in the interest of maintaining public order. The restricted area falls under the jurisdiction of Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Police Station and includes the stretch from Shishu Mela to the Agargaon Road, encompassing the offices of NBR, BIDA, and adjacent areas.
