From 'Tezaab', 'Hum Aapke Hai Kaun' to 'Prahar' or 'Pukar', she established herself as a legend with her parallel path of glamour and acting.
Despite being the highest-paid actress in industry at that time, she was not free from discrimination. Madhuri said, "Change is necessary for progress.
There was a time when there was no vanity van on the set for any artiste, male or female. We used to sit in the sun with umbrellas.
We even had to change our clothes by folding our veils to create a shelter. Back then, we didn't even think that it should change. Today, at least, there has been change in those places."
