Dhaka, Nov. 27 -- Direct air travel between Bangladesh and Pakistan is set to commence from December, Bangladesh High Commissioner in Islamabad Iqbal Hussain Khan said on Wednesday.
Speaking at the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), Khan described the development as a significant step toward strengthening connectivity and fostering closer ties between the two friendly countries.
The High Commissioner pointed out that there have been no direct flights between Pakistan and Bangladesh for several years. Following the political transition in Bangladesh and the improvement of bilateral relations, two Pakistani private airlines, Fly Jinnah and AirSial, have received approval to operate direct flights between the two countries.
