Dhaka, Nov. 13 -- The Foreign Ministry today summoned Indian Deputy High Commissioner in Dhaka, Pawan Badhe, to formally express Bangladesh's serious concern over the Indian government permitting absconding former premier Sheikh Hasina to engage with the mainstream Indian media, according to a senior diplomatic source.

The ministry reportedly stated that providing a platform to a fugitive, currently facing trial for crimes against humanity, to spread hate and advocate terrorist activities within Bangladesh is counterproductive to nurturing a constructive bilateral relationship between the two nations.

The Indian diplomat was requested to relay Bangladesh's demand to New Delhi to immediately halt Hasina's media access, the source added....
