Dhaka, March 14 -- Dhaka has sharply reacted to India's recent comments on Bangladesh's elections, law and order and minority issues, stressing that these are purely internal matters of this country.

"Such comments from India are unwarranted and tantamount to interference in the internal affairs of another country," spokesperson at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Mohammad Rafiqul Alam told media at a press briefing while replying to a query on Thursday.

Rafiqul Alam said such comments are "misleading and a false reflection of the reality".
