Dhaka, Sept. 16 -- Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, held a pull-aside meeting with Bangladesh's Foreign Affairs Adviser Md Touhid Hossain on the sidelines of the Emergency Arab-Islamic Summit preparatory session in Doha.

According to Pakistan's Foreign Ministry, the two sides condemned recent Israeli strikes on Gaza and reiterated "unwavering support" for the Palestinian cause.

They also underlined the need for unity among Muslim nations in responding to regional crises.

The meeting was announced by Islamabad, but Dhaka has not issued any statement on the interaction.
