Dhaka, March 24 -- Pakistan's High Commissioner to Bangladesh, Syed Ahmed Maroof extended his greetings to the Pakistani diaspora in Bangladesh.
He paid tribute to the sacrifices made for the creation of Pakistan and stressed the importance of reflecting on this legacy while renewing collective efforts to build a strong and prosperous nation in line with the vision of Pakistan's founding fathers.
Maroof acknowledged the contributions of leaders from Bengal to the Pakistan Movement. The High Commission observed Pakistan Day with a solemn flag-hoisting ceremony at the Chancery on Sunday morning.
