Dhaka, Feb. 20 -- Bangladesh and India on Thursday reaffirmed their commitment to protecting human rights and reducing border violence through coordinated efforts. Both countries agreed to strengthen joint patrolling, enhance vigilance, and intensify public awareness programmes to ensure greater security and cooperation along the border.

The two countries also laid emphasis on undertaking appropriate socio-economic development programmes and sharing of real-time information in order to ensure effective border management without any killing of either side.
