India, Jan. 10 -- Feni Deputy Commissioner Monira Haque inspected the Ballamukha embankment on the border of Parashuram. Over the past few days, videos of the Ballamukha embankment being cut and looted have been circulating on social media. After that, the Deputy Commissioner went to inspect the site of the sand extraction from the embankment.
?In the terrible flood of August 2024, the Ballamukha embankment adjacent to the Muhri River at the zero point of the border broke, submerging vast areas of Parashuram and Fulgazi upazilas. There was extensive damage to people's crops and property. Two people died in Parashuram upazila due to the strong current of water.
