Dhaka, May 15 -- Chattogram University (CU) has conferred an honorary Doctor of Literature (D-Litt) degree on Nobel laureate and Chief Adviser of the interim government, Dr. Muhammad Yunus, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to the fields of economics and social development.
The degree was officially awarded by CU Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. Yahya Akhtar during the university's 5th convocation ceremony, held on Wednesday (May 14) at the university's central playground.
