Dhaka, May 28 -- A new committee of the Chattogram Hill Tracts Association - Dhaka has been formed, uniting residents of the hill districts currently living in the capital.

Journalist AHM Faruq has been selected as Convenor, while Mitayon Chakma will serve as Senior Joint Convenor while Revenue Officer Md Alamgir Hossain Bhuiyan has been named Member Secretary.

The committee formation was announced at a meeting held on Friday afternoon at the Teacher-Student Centre (TSC) of Dhaka University, which was attended by more than a hundred distinguished individuals from the three hill districts.
