Dhaka, June 23 -- A crude bomb reportedly exploded in front of Rupayan Tower at the Banglamotor intersection in the capital on Sunday afternoon.
According to witnesses, a cocktail bomb was thrown from a moving vehicle in front of the traffic police box at the intersection, causing a blast.
However, no casualties were reported.
Assistant Commissioner (AC) of DMP Ramna Zone Abdullah Al Mamun said police are looking into the matter.
Notably, Rupayan Tower houses the central office of the National Citizen Committee, the central office of the Anti-Discrimination Student Movement, banks, media offices, restaurants, and several other offices and businesses.
