Dhaka, Dec. 26 -- A massive turnout of tourists during the extended Christmas holidays transformed Cox's Bazar sea beach into a sea of people, with dense crowds stretching from Laboni Point to Kolatoli Point on Thursday.
One of the local beachside vendors, said the crowd was not confined to peak hours. "From early morning, this entire stretch of the beach has been packed with tourists."Tourism stakeholders estimate that more than 200,000 visitors flocked to Cox's Bazar over the three-day holiday, marking the highest tourist turnout in the district this year.
