Dhaka, July 3 -- A court scrapped a bail plea of former Awami League (AL) lawmaker from reserved seat Sabina Akter Tuhin in a case lodged under anti-terror act with the capital's Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Police Station.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Sefatullah passed the order as police produced Tuhin before the court after the end of her two-day remand in the case and pleaded to keep her behind bars till the end of probe.

Sabina Akter Tuhin was detained from her parental home in Awna village under Sholla union in Nawabganj upazila of the district in the wee hours of June 22 last. The court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Partha Bhadra placed her on a two-day remand in the case.
