Dhaka, June 26 -- A Dhaka court has ordered the seizure of substantial assets belonging to former Dhaka-20 lawmaker Benjir Ahmed, including four apartments, one land plot, and 193 decimals of land.
Additionally, shares in three companies, a vehicle, and nine bank accounts registered under his name have been frozen. The court also froze shares and three bank accounts associated with his wife, Sahina Begum.
The order was issued on Wednesday (June 25) by Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Md Zakir Hossain Galib following a petition filed by Mohammad Zulfikar, Deputy Assistant Director of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC).
