Dhaka, March 24 -- A court on Monday ordered the confiscation of properties belonging to star cricketer and former Magura-2 lawmaker Shakib Al Hasan in connection with a cheque dishonour case.

Dhaka Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Ziadur Rahman passed the order, allowing a plea filed by the complainant in the case, said court clerk Ripon Miah, reports BSS.

Relationship Officer of IFIC Bank Limited Shahibur Rahman filed the case against the four with the court of Dhaka Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Mahbubul Haque on December 15, 2024. The court recorded the complainant's statement that day and asked the four accused to appear before it on January 19 last.
