Dhaka, July 14 -- The young tenant couple of the house had been on the run since the incident. However, detective police finally tracked them down and arrested the couple -- Apple and Shanta.
During preliminary interrogations, they claimed that trader Saiful came to their house as they had friendly relations with him, but he gave Shanta an indecent proposal at night and tried to violate her.
As she obstructed him, Saiful stabbed Shanta in her leg with a knife.
At one stage of a scuffle, they said drunk Saiful hit himself with the knife and died.
