Dhaka, Nov. 26 -- Fresh debate has erupted in the political arena of Nilphamari-2 over Kusdorpukur Union's Ward No. 3 Awami League president and accused in several cases including murder, Sajjad Alam Sainul.
According to multiple local sources, a few days ago he allegedly attended a secret meeting with BNP-backed candidate Saifullah Rubel.
After news of the meeting spread locally, police arrested Sainul in a case filed over the arson attack on the house of former BNP president Alamgir Sarkar.
Local sources further claim that Sainul later secured bail from the court with the special initiative of Jamaat-backed candidate Advocate Al Faruk Abdul Latif.
