Dhaka, April 27 -- Following the mass uprising that began on August 5, several police officers lost their lives in violent clashes across the country. Amid the unrest, a number of police personnel demonstrated exceptional bravery, risking their lives to rescue injured colleagues, arrange the burial of the deceased, and bring volatile situations under control. Their patriotic efforts were praised at both national and international levels.
