Dhaka, Sept. 2 -- Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Standing Committee Member Gayeshwar Chandra Roy today alleged that a conspiracy is underway to deprive people of their right to vote.

"A conspiracy is afoot to rob citizens of their voting rights. Everyone must remain vigilant against the anti-election and anti-democracy forces," he said.

Gayeshwar made the remarks while addressing the inaugural ceremony of a week-long tree-planting and cleaning programme organized by Dhaka South BNP at Maniknagar to mark the 47th founding anniversary of the BNP.
