Dhaka, May 18 -- A serious complaint has been filed against Md. Abdul Alim, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Dhaka Cantonment Police Station, accusing him of bribery, filing false cases to protect influential individuals, and assisting in land grabbing by defying court orders.
The allegations were submitted in a formal application to the Inspector General of Police (IGP) by the complainant, Md. Ariful Ali, who is demanding an impartial and direct investigation.Ariful alleges that on October 28, 2024, OC Alim filed a false case against 17 individuals, including him, at the behest of Babul Hossain, who is allegedly a known extortionist and land grabber.
