Dhaka, Jan. 18 -- The commuter train in Benapole-Jashore-Khulna route has allegedly become a safe route for smugglers. It is alleged that smugglers are directly being assisted by the train authorities. Benapole Railway Police have long been accused of taking bribes from smugglers.
However, the train authorities refused to accept bribe from smugglers. Indian heroin, Phensidyl, yaba, cosmetics, imitation jewelery, spice products, fireworks, bomb-making equipment are being smuggling safely to different parts of the country.
The main destinations of smuggling routs are Daulatpur, Gatipara, Teroghar, Sadipur,S utipur, Putkhali, Goga, Bhulot, Kaiba, Rudrapur, Dhannokhola, Ghiba, Kashipur and Shalkona.
