Dhaka, March 10 -- The National Consensus Commission is eager to engage with political parties and swiftly reach a consensus in order to formulate a "National Charter," according to the commission's Vice Chairman, Prof. Ali Riaz.
Speaking at a press conference on Monday morning at the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban, Prof. Riaz emphasized the importance of initiating discussions and achieving agreement on the key components of the proposed charter.
In response to a question regarding the process, Ali Riaz explained that constitutional amendments could be made through the promulgation of ordinances, citing previous instances in Bangladesh where such methods were employed.
