Dhaka, Oct. 28 -- City University has suspended all classes, examinations, and academic activities until Thursday (30 October) following a series of violent clashes with students of Daffodil International University in the Birulia Khagan area of Savar.
Announcing the decision, City University Vice-Chancellor Brig Gen (retd) Prof Dr Engr Md Lutfor Rahman said, "Considering the current unrest and safety concerns, all academic activities have been postponed until Thursday." The confrontation, which began late Sunday night (26 October) and continued into the early hours of Monday, caused extensive property damage, including several burnt vehicles and vandalised university facilities.
