Dhaka, July 24 -- The Chinese Embassy in Dhaka has donated a fresh batch of Covid-19 testing kits to Bangladesh as part of its continued support for the country's health sector.

The donation was made in response to a request from the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare of Bangladesh, aiming to ease pressure on local healthcare facilities involved in COVID-19 testing and treatment, said a Chinese embassy press release on Wednesday, reports BSS.

A brief handover ceremony was held in the capital on Tuesday where Chinese Embassy Counselor Li Shaopeng and Md. Halimur Rashid, Line Director of the Communicable Disease Control (CDC), were present.
