Dhaka, Aug. 30 -- Chief Adviser Professor Muhammad Yunus has talked to Gono Odhikar Parishad President Nurul Haque Nur over phone to know about his health condition, and assured that the highest standard of medical care will be ensured for him and others injured in an attack on Friday.

Chief Adviser's Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam said this at a press briefing in front of the Chief Adviser's official residence, Jamuna, here this afternoon.

He said the Chief Adviser also directed that Nur be sent abroad for advanced treatment, if necessary.

Shafiqul Alam said Nur is currently undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH). A special medical board has been formed to oversee his treatment, he added.
