Dhaka, Nov. 2 -- The court has postponed the election of the board of directors of the Chattogram Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI), a century-old trade organization of businessmen and industrialists of Chittagong, for two weeks. On Thursday afternoon, a seven-member full bench of the Appellate Division of the Supreme Court ruled to postpone the election. As a result, the Chattogram Chamber election will not be held tomorrow, Saturday.
The chamber authorities have informed all the concerned organizations about the postponement of the election on the court's instructions.
