Dhaka, Feb. 9 -- Authorities of the Dhaka Elevated Expressway have announced stringent measures against unruly drivers and vehicles, including fines and permanent bans for traffic violations.
Vehicles using the Dhaka Elevated Expressway will face penalties based on video evidence for offences such as overspeeding. A vehicle receiving three fines will be permanently barred from accessing the expressway.
Captain (Retd.) Hasib Hasan Khan, Director of Traffic, Safety, and Security at First Dhaka Elevated Expressway (Operation and Maintenance) Company Limited, made the announcement during a press conference at the Central Control Building in Kuril on Saturday.
