Dhaka, Sept. 17 -- A case has been filed naming Jatiya Party faction chief GM Quader and 18 others over an attack on Nurul Haque Nur, president of Gono Odhikar Parishad, during clashes in the capital last month.

The case application was submitted to Ramna Police Station on Tuesday afternoon by Akteruzzaman Samrat Majhi, organisational secretary of Bangladesh Chhatra Odhikar Parishad.

In addition to the 19 named individuals, the petition also accused 100 to 150 unidentified people in connection with the attack.

Ramna Police Station Officer-in-Charge Golam Faruq confirmed receipt of the application but noted that the incident did not occur within the station's jurisdiction.
