Bangladesh, Jan. 26 -- The Student Rights Council has submitted a memorandum to the Election Commission (EC) demanding the cancellation of the registration of the Jatiya Party (JP) and other parties that collaborated with the previous Awami League government, and their disqualification from participating in the upcoming election.
Leaders of the organization warned that if the Jatiya Party is allowed to take part in the election, the country will face "irreparable damage."
The memorandum was submitted on Sunday on behalf of the organization at the Election Building in Agargaon, the capital.
After submitting the memorandum, the top leaders of the organization spoke to journalists.
